Description
What it is
ARA-290, also known as cibinetide, is an 11-residue linear peptide (sequence QEQLERALNSS, roughly 1257 g/mol) derived from the helix B region of erythropoietin. Unlike erythropoietin it is non-erythropoietic, so it does not act on the classical erythropoietin receptor that drives red blood cell production.
Research context
In the published literature ARA-290 is characterised as a ligand for the innate repair receptor, a heteromeric complex of the erythropoietin receptor and the beta-common receptor (CD131). Reported preclinical research spans tissue-protective and inflammatory signalling pathways. This listing describes the molecule for laboratory investigation only and makes no claim of any effect in humans or animals.
23 studies indexed on PubMed (NIH) for ARA-290 as of August 2026. A measure of research volume only, not a claim of efficacy.
Handling and storage
Supplied lyophilised for reconstitution with bacteriostatic water as a research-handling step. Store the lyophilised powder cold and protected from light; reconstituted peptide is less stable and cold-chain dependent.
Testing and quality
Every batch is third-party tested. The Certificate of Analysis states the sequence, HPLC purity with chromatogram and mass-spectrometry identity (expected versus observed mass).
Supplied for laboratory research use only. Not for human or animal consumption.
