What it is
TB-500 is a market name used for material related to Thymosin beta-4 (Tb4). It refers to either the short synthetic fragment Ac-LKKTETQ (Thymosin beta-4 residues 17 to 23, N-acetylated, roughly 889 g/mol) or the full 43-residue Thymosin beta-4 protein (C212H350N56O78S, about 4963 g/mol). Because the two molecules differ by more than fivefold in mass, the actual sequence in a given vial must be confirmed rather than assumed from the name alone.
